EU grant and equity funding for Radisurf

Danish SME RadiSurf ApS, headquartered in Risskov near Aarhus, has received a grant of €1.4 million from the European EIC Accelerator programme, plus a sizeable equity investment as part of the EIC Accelerator Blended Finance facility.

Radisurf ApS is a spin-off company from Aarhus University specialised in polymer brush coating and adhesion technology. RadiSurf’s patented RadiBond technology enables ultra-strong and ultra-tight assembly of dissimilar materials under environmentally friendly conditions and competitive cost. The EIC funded project will help the company upscale their production and achieve successful commercialisation into the adhesive market.

Innovayt helped RadiSurf prepare a successful proposal enabling a total investment of several million Euros from EIC through the combination of grant money for final development and equity investment for upscaling and commercialisation. Radisurf CEO Mikkel Kongsfelt says:

We are extremely happy with this grant and investment which will mean a huge difference to our strategy for years to come. Innovayt’s help has been essential for matching us with the funding instrument, for detailing a Blended Finance strategy, and for implementing this strategy in a competitive funding application for the EIC Accelerator programme.
