Join our team as a Bookkeeper in Portugal!
Bookkeeper – Innovation Finance Consultancy
Location: Braga or Porto (Portugal) with the possibility of hybrid work
About the role:
As Innovayt continues to grow across geographies and business areas, we are strengthening our finance function in Portugal and are looking for a structured and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Braga or Porto.
You will play an important role in ensuring the smooth running of our financial and administrative processes, supporting both day-to-day operations and the broader financial management of the Innovayt Group.
This position requires physical presence in our Braga or Porto office (hybrid work is possible, but fully remote work is not an option).
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing invoicing processes, including issuing client invoices and following up on payments
- Supporting contract management, including maintaining contract records and following up on payment obligations, purchase orders, etc.
- Handling general bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and receivable
- Assisting with financial documentation and coordination with external accountants and auditors
- Ensuring accurate registration and reconciliation of financial transactions
- Supporting reporting processes and financial overviews
- Performing administrative tasks related to finance and office operations
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of internal financial and administrative procedures
What we are looking for:
- Relevant education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or similar
- Practical experience with bookkeeping and financial administration
- Structured, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks with accuracy
- Experience with invoicing and basic contract administration
- Comfortable working with financial systems and Excel
- Strong English skills (written and spoken); Portuguese is an advantage
- Ability to take ownership of tasks and work independently while being a supportive team player
