Thomas Elmbæk Knudsen

Thomas is a co-founder of Innovayt and has played a central role in the company’s growth since its inception. While initially involved in both sales and the delivery of EU funding applications, since 2008 he has focused primarily on leading Innovayt’s sales efforts, with a particular emphasis on the iFacilitator programmes. His deep understanding of the EU funding landscape, coupled with strategic insight, has been instrumental in shaping Innovayt’s commercial strategy and driving long-term business development.

Thomas holds an MSc in Political Science from Aarhus University (Denmark). Before founding Innovayt, he gained extensive experience in the EU funding ecosystem, having worked for 4 years in Brussels at a Danish municipal and regional office focused on securing EU funding. He also spent a year at a UK-based R&D company, where he worked specifically with EU funding programmes. His background combines public sector insight with hands-on experience in funding strategy and project development.
