Teresa Calejo

As a Senior Consultant, Teresa assists clients in developing competitive strategies and writing proposals for a wide range of EU funding programmes, including Horizon Europe’s EIC Pathfinder, Transition, and Accelerator, MSCA Doctoral Networks, Postdoctoral Fellowships, and COFUND, as well as Eureka Eurostars, Interreg Europe, and others. With a strong background in Biochemistry and Pharmaceutics, Teresa has successfully supported projects across a variety of scientific and innovation domains, including drug development, photonics, quantum technologies, biomedical engineering, and AI technologies. She also holds a role in Key Account Management, helping to maintain strong and lasting client relationships.

Teresa holds a PhD in Pharmaceutics from the University of Oslo (Norway) and an MSc in Advanced Pharmaceutical Technology from the University of Lisbon (Portugal). Her PhD research focused on thermoresponsive materials for advanced drug and gene delivery systems, while her postdoctoral research at Tampere University (Finland) explored polymer-based materials for tissue engineering applications. Prior to joining Innovayt, she also served as a university lecturer at Tampere University (Finland). Over her academic career, 10 years of which were spent in Norway and Finland, Teresa developed multidisciplinary expertise in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biomaterials, Polymer Science, Pharmaceutics, Tissue Engineering, and Regenerative Medicine. She is the author of 26 peer-reviewed scientific publications.
