Pedro Ferraz

As a Senior Consultant, Pedro supports clients in identifying suitable EU funding programs, aligning project objectives with funding criteria, and overseeing the preparation and submission of successful applications. His responsibilities include writing and editing proposals, preparing budgets, and ensuring all supporting documentation meets the requirements of the relevant funding schemes. Pedro has worked with a wide range of instruments across the three Horizon Europe Pillars (including MSCA Doctoral Networks, MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships, EIC Transition, EIC Accelerator, Innovation Actions, and Research and Innovation Actions) as well as EUREKA’s Eurostars and national programmes in Denmark (InnoBooster, Grand Solutions) and Norway (IPN, SkatteFunn). Working at the intersection of science and business, Pedro has guided clients in the development of innovative funding proposals across various fields such as Health (pharma, cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, neuroscience, biomedical engineering, diagnostics, medical biomaterials), Engineering and Technology (bioengineering, materials engineering, textile and apparel manufacturing, quantum/nanotechnology), Energy and Climate Neutrality, Physics (photonics, optics, microscopy), ICT (IoT, wireless communication), Ecology, Circular Bioeconomy, and Social Sciences.

He holds a BSc in Biology from the University of Porto (Portugal), an MSc in Molecular Physiology of Plants from University of Porto (Portugal) and University of Minho (Portugal), and a PhD in Molecular and Environmental Biology from the University of Minho (Portugal). Before joining Innovayt, Pedro accumulated over 12 years of research experience, including leading the NeemBioPestControl project, a collaboration between Bio4Life4You and the University of Minho (Portugal).
