Milene Costa (on leave)
As a Senior Consultant, Milene is responsible for conceptualizing competitive strategies and writing proposals for various funding programmes, including Horizon Europe’s EIC Accelerator, MSCA Doctoral Networks, MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships, Research and Innovation Actions (RIAs), EIC Transition, Eureka Eurostars, and Danish funding programmes such as Innobooster. She has contributed to a wide range of projects across scientific and technological domains, including medical devices, drug discovery, artificial intelligence development, and drone technology, bringing a strong commitment to innovation and collaboration with clients.
Milene holds a PhD in Basic and Applied Biology from the University of Porto (Portugal) and the University of Heidelberg (Germany). She has over 6 years of postdoctoral research experience in tumour immunology, drug discovery, ferroptosis, and nanotechnology. As a researcher, she has co-authored a book chapter and published 15 peer-reviewed articles, including in high-impact journals such as Nature. Her strong communication skills have been recognized with 6 best communication awards at national and international conferences. To complement her scientific background, Milene has also pursued certifications and training in project management and business administration.
