Margarida Gonçalves

Margarida, as an Innovation Consultant, supports the development of national and European funding proposals, with a focus on areas such as drug development, biotechnology, and artificial intelligence. Her responsibilities include drafting compelling funding applications, contributing to R&D strategy development, analyzing funding opportunities, and preparing clients for EIC Accelerator interviews. Margarida’s work spans various technical domains, with a particular emphasis on Health-related innovations and Horizon Europe’s EIC Accelerator and Doctoral Networks programmes. Her collaboration with both academic and industry partners has led to successful funding outcomes and meaningful project advancement.

Margarida holds a PhD in Neurosciences and an MSc in Psychology from the University of Minho (Portugal), as well as an MSc in Psychology of Neurocognitive Processes and Emotional Sciences from the University of Lille (France). Prior to joining Innovayt, she conducted research at Charles Nelson’s Lab at Harvard Medical School (USA) and completed internships at research institutions in Oxford (UK) and Tarragona (Spain). Her academic experience covers a wide range of fields including autism, genetics, EEG, ERPs, fMRI, and animal models, and she is proficient in Python and MATLAB. Margarida thrives in multidisciplinary teams, enjoys creative problem-solving, and values collaboration with diverse individuals.
