Filipa Cardoso

As an Innovation Consultant, Filipa brings over a decade of R&D experience in immunology and translational biomedicine to Innovayt. She supports clients across the full proposal lifecycle, from identifying relevant calls, shaping compelling narratives that emphasise scientific excellence and impact, to designing robust project structures and value propositions. Since joining Innovayt, Filipa has worked on multiple Horizon Europe proposals, including Research & Innovation Actions (RIA) and EIC Accelerator submissions, contributing both scientific expertise and strategic insight to increase competitiveness and fundability.

Filipa holds a PhD in Biomedicine (immunology) from the University of Lisbon (Portugal), where she led award-winning research at the Champalimaud Foundation on neuro-immune interactions, producing work published in Nature and Science. She also holds an MSc in Health Sciences and a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Minho (Portugal). Prior to Innovayt, Filipa spent more than 10 years in academic and biotech R&D. Her combined expertise in immunology, project management and grant writing enables her to effectively bridge science and strategy, helping clients turn ambitious biomedical ideas into fundable, high-impact projects.
