Catarina Silva (on leave)

As an Innovation Consultant, Catarina has gained valuable experience working with a variety of funding instruments, including the EIC (Pathfinder, Transition, and Accelerator), EUREKA Quantum, and MSCA Doctoral Networks. Although her primary expertise is in the Health and Biotechnology sectors, such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and diagnostics, she has also supported projects across diverse technological domains including Food, Quantum Technologies, and Energy.

Catarina holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Minho (Portugal) and an MSc in Bioengineering, specializing in Molecular Biotechnology, from the University of Porto (Portugal). Prior to Innovayt, Catarina worked as a freelance scientific writer, driven by her passion for communicating complex scientific concepts in a clear and accessible way. Her academic research spanned biomaterials, materials science, tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, and immunology, resulting in co-authorship of 11 scientific publications.
