Vanessa Araújo

As an Innovation Consultant, Vanessa brings her expertise to support and advance innovative energy projects across diverse industries and sectors. She is passionate about identifying the right financial opportunities within European funding programs and aligning them with clients’ project visions and strategic goals. Her role extends from project ideation through to implementation, offering clients strategic guidance throughout the entire funding process, fostering collaboration among companies, researchers, technology centers, and other stakeholders to create synergies that enhance the impact of groundbreaking solutions.

Vanessa holds an MSc in Chemical Engineering from the Superior Institute of Engineering of Porto (Portugal), where she specialized in energy optimization in the chemical industry. She also pursued studies in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Industrial Management and participated in the ERASMUS program at the National Superior Institute of Health in Rome (Italy). She completed an industrial PhD in Refinery, Petrochemical, and Chemical Engineering at Galp Energia, supported by the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (Portugal) and the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Coimbra (Portugal).With a professional background spanning multiple industrial sectors, including food & beverage, petrochemical, chemical, and metallurgical industries, she has over 2 years of experience working with EU financial incentives. She specialises in identifying funding opportunities and writing proposals for programmes such as Horizon Europe, Innovation Fund, CEF, EIC Accelerator, and CBE. Her multidisciplinary expertise allows her to bridge technical knowledge with practical innovation, contributing to impactful projects across industries.
