Hajer Radhouani
Hajer is an Industrial Engineer in Agronomy (graduated from the Higher Industrial Agronomic Institute of Huy, Belgium) with a Ph.D. in Technologic, Comparative, and Molecular Genetics (University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, Portugal). She investigated antimicrobial resistance in bacteria from wild animals using genomics, proteomics, and bioinformatics tools. Since 2013, she has been a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Minho, where she led the development and characterization of innovative biopolymer-based medical devices for tissue repair and osteoarthritis treatment.
Hajer has also played an active role in securing and managing national and international R&D projects. She published 56 peer-reviewed publications, 3 international patents, 9 book chapters, and an edited book. Her multidisciplinary background, together with her fluency in five languages and experience in international collaboration, reflects her broad academic and professional profile.
