Cláudia Barata

As an Innovation Consultant, Cláudia brings a strong academic foundation in cellular biology and health to Innovayt, where she works with clients to shape research-driven projects into competitive, fundable initiatives. She advises on project strategy and experimental design, supports proposal development for European funding programmes, and helps bridge multidisciplinary teams to maximise scientific and societal impact.

Cláudia holds a PhD in Molecular and Environmental Biology with a specialization in Cellular Biology and Health from the University of Minho (Portugal). During her doctoral studies she was a visiting student at TU Delft (Netherlands) supported by a FEBS Short-Term Fellowship. She also holds an MSc in Molecular Genetics from University of Minho and a BSc in Biomedical Sciences from University of Beira Interior (Portugal). Throughout her academic career she has contributed to research projects in microbiology, health and biotechnology, and has taken active roles organising scientific and public outreach events: from event planning and content/layout creation to session moderation and networking facilitation.
