Carlos Espírito Santo

Carlos holds a PhD in Marine Biotechnology and Aquaculture (University of Porto), an MSc in Molecular Genetics (University of Minho) and a BSc in Biochemistry (University of Minho). Before joining Innovayt, Carlos was working at CIIMAR (Interdisciplinary Centre of Marine and Environmental Research) focused on innovation and sustainability of aquaculture and fisheries, as well as blue and circular economy.

Carlos has extensive experience in aquatic and veterinary sciences, welfare, climate change and ecology. He has worked as reviewer for numerous scientific journals and authored 13 scientific publications in peer-reviwed journals, as well as several national and international conference presentations.
