Outstanding success for companies applying to H2020's SME instrument

With less than four years gone of Horizon 2020 SME Instrument, in March 2018, Innovayt just hit the impressive milestone of having assisted 100 proposals succeed in getting funding from the programme. And this number is growing fast – in June 2018 the number is already 114 projects, including 80 Phase 1 and 34 Phase 2, totalling 60 million EUR in funding. We helped clients in Denmark, Germany, Iceland, Norway, Portugal, Sweden and UK to become the SME Champions League winners. The 100+ applications spread across multiple areas: health, ICT, security, biotech, energy, transport, engineering and technology, agro-food, materials and processes, environment, etc.

The SME Instrument addresses small and medium-sized enterprises (SMES) with a radically new idea underpinned by an ambitious business plan for rolling out marketable innovation solutions and with the goal to scale up internationally. It supports high-risk, high-potential SMEs to develop and bring to market new products, services and business models that have the potential to create a new market or significantly impact existing ones, and this driving economic growth. This programme is highly competitive with success rates below 8 and 5% for the Phase 1 and Phase 2 respectively.

We want to thank all our clients for the opportunity to work together on their project ideas, wishing them the best of luck for the implementation of their projects.
