Innovayt worked together with the Danish SMEs CardLab and QuardLock in order to present a competitive proposal to the Horizon 2020 SME Instrument – Phase 1.
The idea is to develop a disruptive, highly secure smart card to the financial payments market, which is currently facing major increases in fraud levels. QuardCard combines, for the first time: (i) a smart card (all data is kept inside the card and only encrypted keys are released); (ii) a biometric fingerprint – highly accurate and impossible to copy; and (iii) dynamic one-time-password (OTP), generated by the user's fingerprint. As such, the card only works with the rightful owner’s fingerprint and will improve drastically the security of online and physical transactions.
Frank Sandeløv from CardLab and Søren Hald Jensen from QuardLock comment on Innovayt’s performance: “We have experienced an excellent collaboration with Innovayt in preparing the funding application, and have seen a high level of competences to understand complicated technical issues and relation to customer use cases. This has been an essential part in recognizing Innovayt as a successful partner in the application process”.
