The Grand Solutions program from Innovation Fund DK (IFD) aims at funding R&D projects solving societal challenges and creating growth in Denmark – providing support of 5-30 mill. DKK.
In 2017, Innovayt helped KK Wind Solutions write a proposal to IFD’s Grand Solutions for funding of their MultiCon project. The project addressed a serious need inside the area of storing wind energy to enable a set of political goals in the renewable energy sources context.
The MultiCon project aims to develop storage solutions based on a novel battery and power electronics technology. The technology will introduce more reliable and cost-effective battery storage solutions. It will control and monitor grid infrastructures in real time introducing a cheaper approach with increased reliability and more functions.
Innovayt effectively assisted the MultiCon project to obtain a grant of 9.919.950 DKK. In 2017, there were 295 applicants for the Grand Solutions grant, with a total of 4137 mill. DKK applied for. Only 16% of this sum was granted to the winning projects.
Next deadline for Grand Solutions project proposals is on 19th February 2019.
