Innovayt has helped Danish company Noliac A/S to secure funding from the Danish Business Innovation Fund for the development of a project that focuses on the market maturation (test/adaptation) of a piezo-based solid state transformer for LED lightning.
The main objective of the FutureLED project is to adapt and test a game-changing Solid State Power Supply (SSPS) solution, based on advanced piezoelectric technology, for application in LED lighting. FutureLED will enable considerable benefits compared to current state-of-the-art technology through implementation of a new and completely different approach to LED lighting, which in itself is expected to achieve at least 80% energy savings compared to traditional incandescent lighting. This will contribute with major CO2 reductions and support important national and international, environmental and energy, policy goals and legislative directives.
Bjørn Andersen, CTO & Founder of Noliac A/S is very pleased with the grant and concludes “We have used Innovayt’s services several times and are very satisfied – so far all of our innovation projects have received funding. The grant is strategically important for the further up-scaled demonstration and market breakthrough of our novel solid state transformer. “
