ERC Consolidator Grant Webinar for researchers at Norwegian research institutions

Innovayt will lead a webinar on 21 October (10:00–14:00 CEST) for researchers preparing an ERC Consolidator Grant application for the January 2027 deadline. The session is hosted by the Research Council of Norway (Forskningsrådet).

The ERC Consolidator Grant supports researchers who are consolidating their independence by establishing or strengthening their own research team or programme, with grants of up to €2 million over five years. Under the 2027 Work Programme, applicants must have defended their PhD between 5 and 15 years before 1 January 2027, a wider window than in previous calls. Read more in our overview of the ERC 2027 Work Programme changes.

The webinar will be led by our colleagues Morten Kröger and Teresa Calejo.

Topics covered in the webinar include:

  • The ERC Consolidator Grant scheme, target group and application process
  • Positioning an ambitious research idea
  • Presenting your scientific track record and independence
  • Characteristics of competitive applications and common pitfalls
  • Project design and practical guidance on completing the application forms
  • Questions, answers and key takeaways

The session combines presentations, examples and interactive exercises.

Who can attend

The webinar is open only to researchers and EU advisers at Norwegian research institutions preparing a Consolidator Grant application for January 2027. Participation is free, but registration is binding and a NOK 1,000 fee applies for no-shows.
