Client: Health Tech Norway
Health Tech Norway is a cluster of companies, hospitals, finance-, knowledge and research institutions focusing on healthcare technologies. The objective of Health Tech Norway is to contribute to the development of an internationally competitive health technology industry in Norway.
Participation in European research projects has significant tangible benefits for both companies and research organisations. Besides additional funding of their R&D costs, participants benefit from access to state-of-the-art knowledge through partners, access to new markets, new customers and suppliers. This is reflected in Health Tech Norway strategy, as the organization works activily to mobilize international collaborative project development services to its members.
In order to further strengthen this service, Health Tech Norway has entered into a collaboration agreement with Innovayt to assist in the development and quality assurance of funding applications, thereby increasing the likelihood of success.
The overall goal of this collaboration is to leverage successful project proposals, within the core areas of Health Tech Norway members. Since 2014, Innovayt have helped in finding partners and in the development of numerous project proposals, with a focus on the programmes Eurostars and the SME Instrument under Horizon 2020. A high number of funded projects have resulted from this collaboration, most lately with one of only three Norwegian funded Phase 2 proposals in the October 2017 cutoff.
“We have used Innovayt’s assistance in proposal development several times and are very satisfied. Their assistance in proposal review and quality assurance has allowed us to significantly improve the quality of contents and as well as increased the likelihood of securing the grants”.
- Waqar Ahmed, EU advisor at Health Tech Norway
In order to maximise the chances of funding application success, a structured and systematic application process, as well as access to relevant partner networks, are indispensable. Innovayt uses a carefully designed process, which allows to significantly improve the quality of contents of project proposals.
For the SME instrument, out of 4 projects approved in all of Norway for the second cut-off date in 2014, 2 received assistance from Innovayt. For the Eurostars programme, one project on an innovative medical device for diagnostics and treatment was ranked third out of 323 proposals approved in Europe.
